Glintboard Support

Glintboard turns your iPhone screen into a controllable work light and reflection-pattern surface for close inspection and detail work. It does not use the camera or flashlight, and it does not detect or measure defects — you examine the reflection yourself.

Getting started

Glintboard opens straight into the working surface. There is no account and nothing to set up.

1. Pick a mode. Tap the mode name at the top left to switch between Jewelry, Miniature Painting and Dent Inspection. Each mode remembers its own settings.
2. Choose light or pattern. Turn Pattern off for an even, uniform light. Turn it on to emit stripes or a soft band.
3. Adjust. Set Brightness and, under Warmth, shift the light warmer or cooler. Under Adjust pattern, choose one of four sizes and tap Rotate to switch the lines between vertical and horizontal.
4. Clear the view. Tap Hide, or tap anywhere on the light itself, to put the controls away so the whole screen emits. Tap again to bring them back.

Common questions

The brightness slider doesn't seem to change anything.
Glintboard asks iOS to set your screen brightness; it does not fake brightness by dimming the image, which would change the pattern you are inspecting. If the screen does not get brighter, check that your device is not limiting brightness because of heat, Low Power Mode, or an auto-brightness setting. iOS may cap the display to protect the device, and Glintboard respects that limit.

The controls disappeared.
They hide automatically after a few seconds so the surface stays clean. Tap the screen to bring them back.

Can I see the pattern reflected in my own work?
That depends on the surface, your viewing angle and the surrounding light. Work with the object and the phone at an angle to each other, and try a different pattern size or direction. Very fine polishing marks may need dedicated inspection equipment.

Does my screen stay awake?
Yes, while Glintboard is in the foreground. Your normal auto-lock behaviour returns when you leave the app, and your previous brightness is restored.

Does Glintboard work offline?
Entirely. It has no servers and makes no network requests.

Do you collect my data?
No. Your settings are saved on your device only. See the privacy policy for details.

Reporting a problem

Email glintboard@eatgent.ai and, if you can, include:

• your iPhone model and iOS version;
• which mode and pattern you were using;
• what you expected and what happened instead.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, not through us. Email us anyway if something is broken — we would rather fix it.
