Glintboard Privacy Policy
Glintboard is published by Eatgent Software Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation number BC1563300) — “we”, “us”. This policy explains how Glintboard for iOS handles information.
The short version: Glintboard collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It has no servers of its own and makes no network requests. It works entirely offline on your device.
1. Information we collect
None. Glintboard does not collect, transmit, sell, share or receive any personal information about you through the app.
The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, no third-party code of any kind, and no networking code whatsoever. It does not use the camera, the flashlight, the microphone, location services, your contacts, your photos, health data, or any device advertising identifier.
2. Information stored on your device
Glintboard saves your preferences locally so the tool reopens the way you left it. This information is written to your device's own app storage and never leaves your device. It consists only of:
- which of the three modes (Jewelry, Miniature Painting, Dent Inspection) was last selected;
- for each mode: whether the pattern is on, the pattern family, the pattern size, the pattern direction, the brightness level and the warmth level;
- whether you have finished or partially viewed the short walkthrough;
- a schema version number used to read the above safely in future releases.
None of this identifies you, and none of it is personal information. We cannot see it. Deleting Glintboard from your device deletes it.
Device backups. If you have iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups switched on, iOS may include these app preferences in your backup, the same way it does for other apps. Those backups are controlled by you and by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — not by us, and we have no access to them.
3. Network use
Glintboard makes no network requests. Every feature, including the setup guidance and the in-app privacy notice, is bundled inside the app and available offline.
The only exceptions are entirely under your control: tapping Contact support hands off to your email app with our address filled in, and tapping View full privacy policy opens this page in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.
4. If you email us
If you choose to contact glintboard@eatgent.ai, we necessarily receive what you
send us: your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message.
- Purpose: solely to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. We do not use support messages for marketing, and we do not sell or disclose them.
- Retention: we keep support correspondence for 24 months and then delete it.
- Where it is stored: our support mailbox runs on Amazon
WorkMail (Amazon Web Services) in the
us-east-1region. Messages you send us are therefore stored on servers in the United States, where they may be accessible to US authorities under US law. If you would rather not have your message stored outside Canada, please do not include sensitive details in it.
This support mailbox is the only circumstance in which we hold personal information related to Glintboard.
5. Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to
correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to glintboard@eatgent.ai. We will respond
within 30 days. Because the app collects nothing, in practice this only ever concerns support
correspondence. We may need to confirm that you control the email address in question before
acting on a request.
Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
California. The CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. For clarity: we do not sell or share personal information, and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Through the app we collect no categories of personal information at all. If you email support, we collect identifiers (your email address) and electronic information (your message) for the support purpose described in section 4. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
Availability. Glintboard is not currently offered in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe the corresponding GDPR rights before the app becomes available there.
6. Children
Glintboard is a general-purpose work tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Security
Because Glintboard stores nothing off your device, there is no central database of user data to breach. Preferences on your device are protected by iOS's own app sandboxing and by your device passcode and encryption. Support email is protected by our provider's access controls and by multi-factor authentication on our account.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how Glintboard handles information, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes on the App Store.
